The characters of the Fluff Riot universe live on Vesper Island; a magical, hidden land off the coast of the bustling cyberpunk city of Neo Genshu. For centuries, the inhabitants of Vesper Island enjoyed a life of peace, prosperity and joy. But the world is changing, and there is darkness on the rise. There are whispers that Cursed Creatures are lurking in the shadows, harming citizens of the island. With fear and mistrust growing stronger, the magic that protects the island is starting to weaken.

Khali the three-tailed fox (fox form)

It is said that kitsune (foxes) can have up to 9 tails. Though no one is certain exactly how foxes gain new tails, history suggests it is some combination of life experience and wisdom. Khali is a three-tailed fox who longs to be like her wise and powerful nine-tailed kitsune ancestors. Though she is still young and has much to learn and experience, her three tails afford her some special abilities including the ability to shapeshift into her human form and yield kitsunebi (foxfire). As she embarks on an epic journey to discover what is happening on her home island however, she comes across ample opportunities to gain both wisdom and experience.

Utilizing her shapeshifting abilities, Khali can shift in and out of her human form at will. She can choose to either retain her fox ears and tails or hide them completely. 10 years ago, the kitsune on the island had all slowly and mysteriously disappeared. Khali's mother, to protect Khali, took her to the temple for safeguarding intending to come back for her. When she didn't return, Khali's mentor at the temple, Professor Rowan, feared the worst and advised Khali to never reveal her ability to shapeshift into fox form to anyone.

DJ MANEKI NEKO (AKA Nom-nom)

Nom-Nom was a stray cat that was taken in and cared for by the Wasabi Bomb Noodle Shop. He repaid their kindness by staying at Wasabi Bomb and becoming their very own maneki neko (fortune cat). He beckons in customers by dropping some sick beats.

A special little mushroom that was growing in the Crystal Forest and one day became sentient. Psilocybē is known for his high empathy and philosophical ideas about life.

The dumplings (Gnocchi, cotton candy and bean)

Mace the riot bunny

Gnocchi, Cotton Candy and Bean are three magical dumplings that were created entirely by accident. One day, Nom-Nom was enjoying a delicious dumpling picnic in the Crystal Forest. The Crystal Forests of Vesper Island are said to be mystical places where the Spirit Realm can be accessed. Nom-Nom's bamboo steamer tipped over and the dumplings rolled into a mysterious stream transforming these three formerly tasty morsels into sentient beings!

Mace is part of the Riot Bunny squad that banded together under their mysterious leader when rumors of Cursed Creatures began to surface. The Riot Bunnies help defend Vesper Island... though maybe a bit chaotically! The other Riot Bunnies will be revealed soon, as will the person who banded them altogether and taught them their amazing skills.
